For this weeks barbecue product review we are going to review a new barbecue book titled: Man’s Book of the BBQ: The Man’s Book of the BBQ: A Celebration of Full On, Flame On, Macho Cooking!
Before we start with the book review, lets get some background about the Author: Brendan McGinley. Brendan is a self-proclaimed funnyman who knows good food — he is from New York City, after all. McGinley is an accomplished writer and illustrator and has long been a darling of the Manhattan BBQ scene. He has written extensively for humour websites Cracked and Asylum and is the mastermind behind such Bankshot Comics as Heist, Dose, Citizen X
Okay, now that we know a little about the author, it is time for the review of the book.
There are a lot of barbecue books out there that only focus on recipes which have a couple of stories and background sprinkled in their. But what makes this book different than other barbecue books is that there is no recipes just plain old stories. We actually like that very much. Barbecue and outdoor cooking to slot of people is more than just a bunch of guys huddled over a pit, don’t get us wrong, we all love great barbecue food made with that extra touch of barbecue love.. But it is also the experience and the stories that go along eight the cooking that makes the experience complete and it is refreshing to see a book that focuses just on the culture of outdoor cooking.
We like the book and it is a perfect gift for that office mate that loves barbecue and that has all the recipes that he or even she needs. So pick up a book today! We will put this book in our amazon library.
